My students often write that their favorite food is, and I quote, “an omelete containing fried rice.”
I’m not the biggest fan of this supposedly Western dish, myself–the rice is fried in ketchup, and the eggs of the omelet are very…Japanese. If you’ve ever had Japanese scrambled eggs, you know what I mean.
I don’t know if the dish is love, but please relish it once by all means.
Once only, please.
I love omu rice! Mostly because it’s easy enough for even me to make…
But I have to say, i prefer okonomiyaki! (^.^)
Wow! It’s hard to know where to start with that little gem! Although it probably makes a lot more sense than some of the Japanese sentences I’ve cobbled together in the past (#^.^#)
I always wonder what Omurice should be in English….
I was not a fan of these omeletes when I visited Japan. They were quite popular though.
hah, reading the menu makes me giggle.^_^
