If you’ve traveled around Japan, you’ve probably seen a certain style of postcards. The design is always distinctive and very modern, but the contents are usually traditional and very location specific. Well, a friend of mine here in Japan has started a shiny new blog all about these interesting post cards called Postacollect!
Explaining the history and backstory as well as the design, each post is chock full of awesome information. My favorite part is that the card is usually held up against the thing it’s representing so that you can literally compare the two. It’s really neat! So if you love Japan’s obsession with regional things and have a collector’s itch to scratch, this is the blog for you š
